Hi, Show and Tell Monday

HI, I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I had a 3 day weekend myself and boy it flew by so fast. I am moving at the end of the month so I have started packing and sorting and throwing out. I started in the room I use least. The kitchen. For real, I hardly ever use the kitchen, I should though, I found out I have some really cute dishes. LOL I am not quite decided where I will move and its a little stressful packing up and not knowing where to take your stuff. LOL I have a couple places lined up and the right thing will turn up, its all good. I went to Target and bought this really soft body pillow. I thought it would be comfy. Well apparently so did Miss Annie Friend, she wont get off of it. She loves it. She is so shy and quiet and never asserts herself so I just cant bear to kick her off of it! I also went out to an antique mall on Sunday with my Sister and Friend. I bought a bag of assorted old jewelry and cant wait to use some of that. I found a couple other things I am going to use for projects that I will post later. I did buy these to hats. I love old hats. I used to collect them but lost them all in a fire, so I decided to start picking them up again here and there. I love these two. I wonder who owned them? I also tried my hand at FIMO clay. I have been wanting to make cupcake and icecream cone beads. These were alot of fun, but when I set them on a tray to dry overnight, one of the cats thought they looked like alot of fun to roll around the floor. I found them everywhere, but they had fuzz and stuff in them. I decided to bake them and paint them anyway, so I cant really use them, but I will practice and make them again for some projects. LOL . So I decided to make these earrings so that would have a completed project.

So I had a full weekend but it was fun and productive. I cant wait to see what all of you have come up with this week... until next time........

Hi Gail!

OMG...I love your cat! What a cutie pie! You sure did find some cool things! I remember when my mom wore hats exactly like those to church on Sundays when I was a child. Love them. And love the jewelry too! I'm so happy you will soon have a new place to live. I love your positive attitude and am also sure you will find the perfect place.

Love your darling kitty story, how cute is that!! Shopping for vintage hats is one of my favorite things to do. Especially ones with flowers! Hope you'll be showing these this Friday!

Awww your kitty is so sweet, I would be the same... no way you can kick her off that soft pillow! I love the hats you found and guess what? I bought two boxes of vintage hats at a garage sale this weekend for $7!! They are really cool. Maybe I should post them for my show and tell... hmmm, ok I will!! Don't know why I bought them or what I'll do with them except maybe use as photo props.

I don't envy you the packing and moving, but I do love setting up in a new home! I know it will all come together for you!

Hi Gail,
I love old hats too. I buy ones that aren't perfect to use the flowers on satchets. The fimo things look great.

Doesn't it seem like our purrbabies always want to be right where we don't want them?
I've been "making" with Sculpey and it is a lot of fun...can't wait to see your new works (with or without cat fur LOL)

I want to pluck those gorgeous millinery flowers right off of those hats and use them to adorne things. What a great find!

Aren't cats wonderful? The ice cream cones and cupcakes came out adorable anyway. I have to be really careful where I leave things or my cat runs all over with them (especially if something has catnip in them!). Can't have anything hanging off the table or it's fair game for the cats or the dogs. Crazy!

Hi Gail! I am chuckling over the fuzzy crafts you left out that turned into instant kitty toy. They do not miss a trick! Must be the natural 'hunter instinct' in them. You may just find some goodies in your own cabinets to post on your website for sale while filtering through everything. Thanks for a cute Show and Tell and Miss Annie Friend too.

Hi Gail,
I love kitty cat stories...I think most of us can relate as I hear a lot of pinkies (including myself) just can't live without them...My kitties name is Rosie and she, too, is quite the character. Love your hats, and Janet, I remember when I wore hats (oops, that was a long time ago), but I remember them not being too comfortable. Gail, can't wait to see what you create with your fimo projects...thank goodness you have a good sense of humor! those darn cats!!
