Meet Kathy

I want to start featuring other artist on my blog. There is some awsome talent out there and I love the idea of supporting other women in their creative endeavors!!! I first met Kathy on myspace. We have been friends for sometime now. She lives in Boston and I live in Phoenix. I was lucky enough to learn she had a business trip to Phoenix. So we were able to meet in person. We met at the Hyatt in Phoenix and had a drink and dessert at the top in a restuarant called the Compass Room. Its a circular restuarant that spins and you can see Phoenix from all views. Its was great getting to know her. She works in the field of genetics, she is a practitioner of yoga and plays the guitar. (you go girl) She is one of the sweetest people you would ever want to meet, and one of the worlds gentle souls. She also told me she volunteers at her local childrens hospital and teaches the teen age girls how to make jewelry. Her work is beautiful. The bracelet above is a gift she brought to me,,, and am I lucky or what. LOL Check out her websit.. http://www.elysianjewels.com/ and she is at www.myspace.com/elysianjewels as well....

Hi Gail!

Thank you so much for offering a giveaway. You're such a sweet friend. And how sweet of you to introduce us to your friend Kathy. Isn't it amazing how you can meet someone online and feel like you have known her forever? Like when I met you in Chicago. You are one awesome lady. I just took a peek at Kathy's jewelry. It's absolutely beautiful. She's obviously very talented. Thanks a million for sharing Gail.

Hi, Gail!

What a wonderful thing that you're introducing more people to Kathy and her beautiful work! I can personally attest to her amazing spirit and talent - she made a custom bracelet for me to symbolize my rebirth, so to speak, following a long struggle with depression and a suicide attempt. The bracelet (and earrings!) are so special and contain colored beads to represent the important months in my life (family birthdays, my anniversary, my birthday, the month of my suicide attempt), as well as two special charms Kathy added - one a beautiful angel and the other a heart with the word "believe" embossed on it.

Anyhow, I know this is long, but I hope everyone can find someone like Kathy to enrich their lives. I smile every time I look at my bracelet and celebrate my true happiness.
